Braber Equipment was founded in 1969 by Bill Braber in Abbotsford, British Columbia, after he moved to the Netherlands with his young family. Bill returns to the Netherlands every year to buy farm equipment to sell to dealers in British Columbia. The open space next to the family home is used as an original storage facility, with sections located under a pool table in the basement of the family home. Braber Equipment grew rapidly over the next few years as Bill's focus on quality, service and support became the backbone that drove the business.

In 1991, Nick Blaber, Bill's son and co-owner of Blaber Equipment, founded Be Power Equipment , which manufactured pressure washers for sale to agricultural dealers. Nick already had experience with pressure washers 20 years ago, selling them out of the back of his pickup truck during high school to raise money to buy Braber Equipment (pictured above). Based on the same values and starting one unit at a time, they became known for high quality and reliable pressure washers, quickly becoming the largest manufacturer of pressure washers in Canada. Under Nick's leadership, Be Power Equipment grew to four global manufacturing facilities.

Today, BE Power Equipment is a leading global manufacturer of pressure washers, air compressors, generators, water pumps, wood splitters and forced air heaters, serving industrial markets in more than 30 countries. Curtis Braber, the third generation owner, continues the values instilled by previous generations and has worked with a dedicated team to continue to grow and evolve the BE brand. With this strong team, BE is committed to designing quality products and providing excellent service, while striving to maintain innovation for the future, as it has for the past 25 years.
